DELCOSA*EXCO *SHOULD CONSIDER STARTING*A MODEL OF A *MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY AS A MEANS TO IMPROVE FINANCIAL STRENGTH OF MEMBERS AND BE AN INCENTIVE TO ATTRACT/GROW MEMBERSHIP
Greetings my fellow great Comrades, Miss/Mr/Mrs/Chief/Dr/Professor, etc !
Sometimes I am wondering what could be responsible for the inertia of my delaying uptake of active membership Subscription of DELCOSA, with attendance of meetings and Payment of dues/levies as at when or and necessary.
This typology of the model of thinking espoused may be the bane of others… beyond my set of 93 classmates and indeed DELCOSA family, internationally.
Officially, any graduate of that alma mater belongs to that DELCOSA–
beyond rhetoric what could be responsible for the drawback!
Just thinking about it seriously, I know as one of the forerunners for such union, among efforts by others, known and unknown to me.
One of such Effort by me had in attendance our now indefatigable President, Mr.s Amis Ukuedojo, Martins Idoko, Austin Iritevu, Christopher Eko… the venue was a joint opposite Wetlands Hotel, by Mofor Roundabout Udu road, Udu LGA. That meeting was called at the instance of my appeal to guys aforementioned.
In fact, Dr Mrs. Elizabeth Ekpekurede (our Headgirl Perfect for 93 set) , among others were randomly mobilized over the phone and interpersonally to attend that forum.
In fact, that forum birthed hosting us on WhatsApp social media with Amis and Idoko as Admins, among other strides like the contribution of widow mites by us to support Austin Iritevu for Father’s burial.
At different fora, I have thumbed up my friend and our President to keep the flag flying in his current leadership role of DELCOSA.
Now, after all Said and done,. why am I still, like many others unwilling to uptake membership of this great family?
The answer for us yet to subscribe membership could be found in the above title of this piece!
The current EXCO should consider it and possibly activate it ASAP if the majority buys into it.
After all the hustling and bursting is about money…
“Money stops nonsense”…including nonpayment of dues/levies.
Setting up DELCOSA Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited would not be a bad idea!
That’s my N2 USD (…not my 2 kobo program on AIT)
Long live DELCOSA EXCO!
Long live DELCOSA!
